What's Inlcuded
What’s Included
This 1-hour performance-based course builds on the foundation from Part 1 to focus on three practical memory techniques for medical interpreters: medical shorthand, mnemonics, and the memory palace visualization method. You will learn how to develop your own shorthand system for capturing complex medical terminology and lengthy utterances quickly during consecutive interpreting. We will also cover mnemonic devices tailored to medical content, helping you retain and recall specialized vocabulary, drug names, and clinical processes with greater accuracy. Finally, we will introduce the memory palace technique, a visualization method that allows you to organize and retrieve large amounts of information by mentally placing it within familiar spatial locations. By the end of this course, you will have hands-on practice applying each of these techniques so you can build a personalized memory toolkit for high-stakes interpreting encounters and certification exam preparation.
