In this 1-hour, performance-based webinar, participants will learn practical techniques to improve their sight translation skills. Sight translation is a core competency in medical interpreting and accounts for 11% of the CHI bilingual oral exams (Arabic, Mandarin, and Spanish).
This session will guide participants through how to analyze and rate their own sight translation performance, provide a clear step-by-step approach to delivering an effective sight translation, and highlight common errors based on CCHI’s four rating scales: lexical content, register of speech, grammar, and quality of speech.
This webinar is ideal for individuals preparing for the CHI oral performance exam, as well as certified interpreters looking to strengthen their skills.
