What’s Included

In this 4-hour performance-based webinar, you will explore interpreting in postpartum care across both routine and complex patient scenarios. The first portion focuses on standard postpartum teaching, including breastfeeding, pumping, maternal recovery, and newborn care. The second portion examines more complex situations, including emergency cesarean sections and the communication challenges that follow. You will be introduced to the terminology used in these encounters through consecutive interpreting practice and a specialized postpartum care glossary.

This training is built on real patient stories. Two women share their postpartum experiences, one following a vaginal birth and one following an emergency C-section. These stories bring the terminology and clinical concepts to life, helping you understand the joy and stress of interpreting in postpartum care settings.

  • Access to PDF of PowerPoint presentation
  • 200-word specialty glossary available in English/Spanish & English/LOTE
  • Access to webinar recording
  • Consecutive interpreting practice with transcripts
  • Certificate of attendance
