What’s Included

Grief and loss can deeply impact an interpreter’s ability to stay focused and neutral, especially when personal experiences are triggered during assignments. This one-hour workshop explores different types of loss—including death and ambiguous losses—and their effects on interpreters’ personal and professional lives. Participants will learn to recognize grief-related feelings and symptoms, develop coping strategies for managing emotions during encounters, and improve self-care practices to maintain concentration and resilience when working with LEP patients.
