This 1-hour live webinar is designed for medical interpreters and translators who work with patients with diabetes. Depending on the type of diabetes and the patient’s medical insurance, treatment regimens vary and can include, pills, insulin, GLP-1 injectables, and other medications to control weight and blood sugar. This session will guide language professionals through the terminology and communication challenges associated with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. Learners will have the chance to put concepts into practice through interpreting exercises built around real patient stories.
